How To Use

Getting started on Material Harbor takes just a few minutes. Sign up for a free or Premium account and begin by filling out your company profile, including your contact information, the materials you work with, any certifications you hold (such as AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or NADCAP), and a brief description of your business. A complete profile helps other companies find you and builds credibility before any conversation begins.

Once your account is set up, hit the Add Material button and select any materials your company supplies or needs. You can add raw materials, fabricated parts, or specialty items, anything from aluminum sheet to precision-machined steel components. Once listed, your materials become searchable by thousands of industrial buyers and suppliers on the platform.

To search for a supplier or buyer, click Find Suppliers & Buyers from the homepage. Enter a material name or select from the category list, and you’ll see a list of verified companies that supply or utilize those materials. Click any company name to view their profile and contact information. Premium members get full access to unlimited results and direct contact details.

Services Offered

Material Harbor connects original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to a wide variety of suppliers, and connects suppliers to active buyers, through a marketplace built specifically for industrial materials.

For Buyers and Manufacturers: Procurement teams can search for material providers across the world, whether they need a quick fix for an unexpected shortage or a long-term contracted vendor for an ongoing production program. Search by material type, form, grade, certification standard, and manufacturing process to find an exact match, not just a list of vaguely relevant companies. Popular searches include aluminum sheet, stainless steel bar, titanium rod, and copper tube, but the platform supports hundreds of material types across metals, composites, and plastics.

For Suppliers: Suppliers can list the materials they carry, from raw aluminum sheets to expertly machined steel components, to composites, plastics, glass, or wood depending on the industry, and become discoverable by manufacturers searching the platform right now. Rather than relying on cold outreach or trade shows to find new customers, suppliers on Material Harbor appear in front of buyers who are already looking for exactly what they sell.

Both free and Premium accounts can list materials and run searches. Premium members receive priority ranking in search results and access to advanced filters, giving them a significant visibility advantage.

Our Mission

The goal of Material Harbor is to make the buying and supplying side of industrial manufacturing go as smoothly as possible.

Material Harbor was founded by Justin and Michael Foster, two brothers with deep backgrounds in aerospace engineering and manufacturing. The idea came directly from their experience working with procurement teams at an aircraft manufacturer struggling to keep production on schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic. Basic materials like aluminum sheet and rivets were impossible to source quickly because suppliers were scattered, databases were outdated, and there was no centralized platform to search.

Material Harbor is the solution they wished had existed.

Today, Material Harbor offers manufacturers a way to immediately find available materials and keep production moving without costly delays. It gives suppliers a direct channel to find potential buyers and long-term contracts for their products. And it does all of this without brokers, middlemen, or referral fees — just a direct connection between the companies that need each other.
